Senior Java Developer / Architect

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for new product design, development, refactoring, optimization, and enhancement utilizing Java and other open source technologies. You will be working at part of dedicated Product Development team reporting to the Engineering Manager.

The Person

  • You will have very strong technical background, very good communication skills and able to work within a team environment.
  • 6+ years of Object-Oriented software engineering experience; strong knowledge of design patterns, MVC, etc.
  • Experience working with a broad range of Java web and client/server technologies and tools like Spring, JPA, Hibernate, Struts, Web Services, JSF, core Java, Swing, etc.
  • Experience designing and developing complex commercial software products or services through multiple releases.
  • Agile or Lean development experience, test driven development, Scrum is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, used to working on collaborative teams in fast-paced environments. Must be creative and enjoy learning and utilizing new technologies, frameworks, and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree highly preferred, Master's.
  • Any experience designing and developing Rich Internet Applications or Flex experience is a plus.
